The Best News – Wellness Wednesday

Three months ago I wrote about my husband, John’s diagnosis of prostate cancer. The surgery was successful , and he has been faithfully following the food, supplement, and glyconutrient program outlined by master nutritionist, Daniel Falk. And while the surgeon felt that he had removed all of the cancer, he could not be sure until a 3 month follow up—which occurred last Friday.

And, hallelujah!!!!! No cancer!!! None!!! What a relief and what a blessing.

The path to wellness will continue—forever. Live food—organic as often as possible. Seeds, nuts, fruit, veggies, and legumes. Organic fish, chicken or meat once a week. (The nutritionist would like for John to have no meat—but, well—he’s a cowboy!!!!). He has (for the most part) eliminated sugar, dairy, wheat, gluten, and most meats. He feels great and has lost almost 30 pounds. The doctors want him to drop more weight and now he has been cleared to do some mild exercise.

We read positive material on a regular basis and make sure that we surround ourselves with family and friends and colleagues who are positive. No negativity. We pay attention to what causes stress and make concerted effort to reduce or eliminate those stressors.

Wholesome food, vitamins, supplements, glyconutrients, exercise, and plenty of sleep (7 hours for an active adult), stress control. There you have it. Healthy care of the body, mind and spirit.

Here’s the formula:

Great Western medicine.

Support from friends, family and loved ones.

Healthy eating and lifestyle.

The power of prayer.

A belief in a Higher Power—the Great Physician.

And a belief in possibility. A great attitude.

There’s the formula for giving yourself the “edge”. There is the formula that will give your body the best chance to overcome any adversity or illness.

In fact, that’s a pretty good formula for a healthy life. Period.

Thanks to all of you for your prayers for John’s healing. Know that we are grateful.
